The Daytona 500 is here and one question still remains. What driver will win?
I think this Sunday will be the coronation of the new King (with all due respect to Richard Petty). Since the death of his father Dale Jr. has been the crown prince of NASCAR. I believe at the 2004 Daytona 500 Junior will not only win the race but he will begin the march to his first point's championship. If he does win the 500 and if he wins the points championship he will live up to the hype that has followed "Little E" since the day he crawled on his first tricycle. He will be what the Earnhardt Nation believes he is, the second coming of his father. But before we shine his crown. Before we paint his car black. Before we raise a beer to his victory we had better wait till Sunday. Daytona has a funny way of tweaking the future and no one knows that better than D.E.I. So let's all get a good seat. Let's all sip our beers and cheer for our favorite drivers. Let's all see if ClubHusband's pick of Dale Jr. comes true. But we ask you to do two more things on Sunday. First keep one eye on Michael Waltrip he may surprise us all again. Second don't hope for wrecks. You never know when a little harmless looking spinout may change the sport.
